Great Start, Great Finish!
At the start of a race, the horn blows and the runners begin
by taking hold to the ground underneath their feet. One of their goals is to
get a handle on treading upon the ground and pushing forth their bodies to
develop a good steady running pace towards the finish line. If the runner does
not get off to a good start with the right pace and adequate breathing that keeps
oxygen levels in a healthy place, this can create a problem in trying to endure
within the race and with trying to win the race. This is the same concept at
the start of your day. When you get up in the morning, it is critical to get
off to a good start. What you do within the first 10-20 minutes at the start of
your day, is critical in setting the success tone for the remainder of your
day. Here are three ways to get off to a charged-up great start!
When you
first wake up, lead in immediately with a prayer to God. Give God thanks for
the mere fact that you woke up after last night. Whatever last night was or was
not, you woke up again. You have another
chance to do more of something and less of other stuff and to hug a loved one
or sit back and laugh about something or someone. What if today was your
funeral? Today is not your funeral, so at least you can tell God thank you for
life itself.
As you get out of bed and proceed to the restroom, start declaring your “I AMs”
over your day and over your life. You can make a list of these declarations and
read them out loud to yourself or memorize about 10-15 “I AMs”. Fill the atmosphere with great things about
yourself and the Universe will circulate what you put out into the atmosphere.
Things such as I am successful…I am beautiful…I am a blessing….I am coming up
higher…I am a person of great influence…I am strong….I am victorious….I am equipped….I
am loved…I am an expert in my field…I am a child of the most high God. These words reaffirm the truth about yourself
and what God says about you. These words will circulate within the atmosphere
and deposit back into you, that which you put out in the atmosphere. Don’t ever
speak negative about yourself or believe something derogatory about yourself.
You are always improving from where you are. As you believe the best and do
your part to become a better version of YOU, you will become more of who you
were created to be in due time.
And lastly, start off your day by drinking a bottle of water. Just as your mind and your
inner person needs to be fed and nourished with prayer and speaking declarations
over your life, your body needs to be nourished and refreshed at the start of
the day immediately after it comes out of a long restful state without water.
Refresh your body with some water! Kick start your hydration before you proceed
to eat or workout and before you start checking all of the social media sites.
There are so many great things you can do to get your day
off to a great start, however, these three things are a sure-fire way to get you going and get you prepared for conquering your day.
